going threw detox

I'm on day 3 of Detox (at home),by myself. My sister and I have been hooked on pain meds for 4-5 years. My sister is also going threw detox too. We have made a pack to get off them. We have the support and help of other family members. This is not an easy thing, like a very bad flu. Alot of emotions I haven't delt with in years coming at me. Threw my hubby out 2 weeks ago, I'm not really sure yet if our problems were caused by my addiction. I hope things will become clearier as my head clears and I'm not numbed by pills anymore. I just want to be happy again. And Laugh, I miss laughing. My sister and I own a bussiness together.Couldn't work unless we had pills. We use to have so much fun together working, now we're just numb. Lots of bad things have happened in our family over the past 4 years and the pills seemed to help us get threw it all (WRONG!!) I know it will be a few more days of the detox FLU but how long before I feel somewhat normal again? Ya know,go to work without shaking etc? My sister and I have decided to make recovery our priorty, even over work. I'm just wondering when will we be well enough to go back to work? Our addiction was up to about 10 Percs or Vics a day each. I know theres a light at the end of the tunnel. Any advise or words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated.

Just keep fighting through.. It may seem hard but its all worth it.. every sweaty chilled shaking minute will be worth it.. it makes us stronger..

Also don't get dehydrated.. lots of fluids..
