Hi I would suspect another drug is involved if she wasent passing out from a higher dose a lower one will not cause it mabe she has gotten into benzos to try and relax they can be prescribed by a doctor but there not a good combo with methadone time to have a talk and get to the bottom of this..........Gnarly
she is tapering her dose and now is at 65mgs? was she nodding before when she was on a higher dose? are you sure she is tapering and hasnt gone back up on her dose? could she also be using something else? benzos?
Yeah, I just got out of the methadone clinic myself 3 wks ago....i agree her dose is too high........the lower she goes on her dose she should stop nodding....she just needs to be firm with the clinic and keep going down. Slowly....Im still going through withdrawals, but i quit at 10mgs. so the lower she goes the better. Good luck
I agree the reason she is nodding is because her dose is too high.
I'm sure he means nodding out, this was happening to me when I was on 120 mgs. I approached my counselor about this and he tried to tell me I needed to go up. That's all bs though, most methadone clinic counselors just want that weekly money so they can keep a job, not saying all are that way, mine was. If a body is falling asleep in the afternoon, from my experience their dose is too high.
What do you mean by passing out? Do you mean she is fainting or nodding? If she is fainting you should get her to a doctor ASAP.
