Make it through work on day 11???

I had some trouble sleeping last night. Imagine that....? :) Kidding. It is to be expected no matter whether taking something to aid sleep or not. Couldn't muster another run- just a brisk 1.5-2 mike walk. Feel a little more human. I feel like this has been the hardest week at work ever. Geez. I'd try to take off more time but there's nothing stressful going on there at the moment. I feel like keeping relatively busy will pass the time quicker. Advice?  I just want the strength to keep going yet know my triggers.

That is what I thought. I went to work on day 8-11. I'm taking a vacation today Friday at the insistence of my wife. She says that I need go rest before. She says that she doesn't want me to push it too hard like times where b4 I'd try to be back at work by day 4. That didnt work....before I quit sub this time I took short acting opiates for a week before. Soo, It's almost been 3 weeks since last 2 mg of sub. My physical wds have pretty much subsided. Don't even the immodium any more :). If I could just sleep....

That must ha e cool to travel internationally while getting off the crap!  I love to travel to Europe and everywhere. I have a desk job unfortunately but I get to see my wife and daughter so it's a trade off.  I digress...Anyway thanks for the comments.

You are doing great.  Going to work is the best thing for you.  This past setback for me I did not want tog o back to work. But getting back in the zing of things helped a lot. The last few days have been rough because I have been low on energy, but I have been still doing well.  I bet the house to myself this weekend......I am looking forward to some peace and quiet.

For me, going back to work on day 10 of detox was the best thing I did for myself! Despite all the B******* I did about it at the time. :-)

Im an International Flight Attendant, and was 10 days off of Suboxone 3mgs for two years. Due to that damn half life, I was still in pretty decent wd's at the time.  I used all my off time, and was scheduled to work a flight to Germany on Day 11.  Was supposed to be a short 3 day trip, and it ended up turning into 18 days overseas working back and forth between Europe and the Middle East.

It was tough, I have to say... but keeping that busy, and knowing that I HAD to tough it out, or find myself in some hospital in Kuwait was some great motivation. :-P

Long story short, it ended well, and came home a new guy. :-)

Hang in there!

I know. It has just seemed like a long week with really not being that stressful. I'm feeling optimistic but simply worn out. It was nice that my wife and I saw a movie after work. My mom picked up my daughter for us. It's nice to be able to look forward to those kinds of things instead of pills.

Bring back a dead hobby that you used to do.  Get outside and enjoy the weekend.  You don't have to exercise, go to the park or a zoo or whatever you like.  It can be a long weekend or a weekend that is not long enough.  You have the capacity to make it either one.  Good Luck
