having really bad cravings

ok, so its day 3, i fell ok, i mean not good but the w/d's are tolerable. For some reason I felt better with the methadone then when I've taken suboxone, I dont know why that its. But methadone scares the **** out of me. I took 1/4 of a dicsc around 7 this morning (east. time) and just did half of 1/4 of a xanax bar because im starting to feel anxious, mainly because I want an oc, just one, even a half one. Today is my husbands payday and guess what happens on payday, but on the brighter side he wont be home till 10pm or so and i plan to have the kids in bed by 8 and then knock myself out once he gets home. I really hope i get through this, Im just so confused because people are telling me such different things, like DO NOT mix methadone with xanax, because i will never wake up, they said thats how anna nicole died, i dont want to die, i love my family and i want to love my life once i get this monkey off my back. Would it be better to take clonidine with the methodone or a seroquell? these are all things i have on hand. I also would like to start on that amino therapy that FLaddict was posting about. is ot to late to start that????????  Does Dutchess Golden still come around here? Im and oldie but a newbie since its been months since ive posted.......im so scared right now, but i know it has to be done. My kids deserve s good mother, not a druggie mother who needs an oc just to change a poopie diaper.......I hate this.....

Ok.  You have 8mgs.  That is good.  Yes you can take a xanax with the methadone or subutex but I wouldnt.  I would take 8mg of the subutex that is 1 pill.  Let it disolve under you tongue completely.  You shouldnt really talk while you are doing this.  It can take up to 20 minutes to disolve depending on how dehydrated you are.  Dont eat or wash it down with anything.  Just let is absorb into the glands under your tongue.  An hour after you take it see how you feel.  It wont be wonderful but the cravings should go away and the pain, chills etc.  You will be tired but have a sense of well being bc it worked.  If after an hour you are still in WD take another 8mg the same way.  DO NOT EXCEED 16 mg.  I am telling you this should work.  Its going to get you through the acute stage.  Clonidine is for anxiety- blood pressure.  Yes you can take it but since you have already taken the Xanax it like overkill.  I wouldnt take it until you are out of Xanax and then only if you must.  You might not sleep on a .25 of Xanax.  Try the subutex you can take it now.  Before bed if you need the xanax then you can take up to half a bar.  Unless you are use to taking Xanax I wouldnt take more than that at a time.  I am very curious to know how you are going to feel after you take the subutex.  Here is my email if you want you can call me anytime tonight.  Really I dont mind at all.  After you email me I can send you my #. ***@****

I have all these meds on hand to help ease my w/d's. I just dont know which to mix . Today was the first day i have ever tried methadone. To be honest it scares the hell out of me. I only plan to use these meds for a few more days because i dont need another addiction, ya know. I have two small children to look after and i need to be somewhat functionable. Im not trying to give myself a pity party, i know its my mess i got myself in to but i just need a little help to get by. any advice?

What benefits and advantages do they bring to you?

the suboxones that i have are orange and have the number 8 on them, the subutex that I have says b8 and the methadone just says dan and the xanax bars are yellow, thakns so much for this I really appreciate it. I did the smallest ammount of a xanax a while agao and i feel better, once my husband comes home I will take more to sleep and get to day 4 tomorrow. Whats up with the clonidine? Can it be mixed with methadone?

I don't know much about the chemistry but I do know that this horrible feeling of panic and anxiety and depression will get better. I thought I was going to lose my mind. Stay strong and celebrate the fcat that you are doing this. The very fact that you have remained strong is amazing. And please take the Aminos. Vitamin B helps with energy and % HTP's help with depression. Best of luck.

OK I know everything you are saying.  No oxy since sunday is absolutely wonderful!!!  The Xanax you took is ok.  Actually its probably good for you right now.  If you have subutex and are in a mild wd I am going to tell you to take it.  You will not get addicted to it because it is buprenephrine.  Your body and brain are begging for the opiate reward.  Methadone gives it that reward so tomorrow you are going to be in the same situation.  If you took the subutex on mon and tues and still felt really bad then 2 things...maybe you didnt take enough or not in a WD.  How many mg's are the subutex?  After a couple of days you are not going to even be craving an oxy if you do the subutex right.  There should be a number on it if you have the orange one's please let me know.  There is no longer and every once in awhile pill for us.  It will never be the same.  I miss it. I was married to my oxys.  Nothing could keep me from them.  I kicked so many times and that 1 pill always ended up in full blown addiction.  On the bright side now you know.  You are going to do this.  Let me know about the subutex.  Right now if you can so I can help you adjust your dose.  Please dont take the methadone with it.

i have had no oxycontin since sunday. Monday and tuesday i tried the suboxone but i still felt crappy so today i tried 1/4 of a wafer of methadone. I swallowed it like a pill which I heard was the wrong way to take it. I have all that stuff ( clonidine, xanax, suboxone, subutex) to help through w/d's. I want to take as less as possible but i dont olan on taking any of them for more then a few more days. i am not and dont want to trade one addiciton for another ya know. I just know i want this to end. Im hoping that in the next 2-3 days I wont need any of the meds that i have, maybe kust some tylenol pm's foe sleep. I also am not taking these to get high, thats the last thing i want, I just need to be somewhat functionable for my kids. No one knows I let it get this bad again. Thats why I came bak here. I just dont know what I can and cant mix ya know.  God I hope this ends sooner then later. Your post was very encouraging, thanks, I just feel like im in such a bad place. I know everyone is different but how much longer do you think it will be, i was doing like 80mg a day of oxy for a few months, Before I was up to 2-3 a day but quit for a few weeks and then figured i could handle an everyonnce in a while pill, then it all went downhill....

if you have really not taken anything since 7am and you are in WD's you can start the suboxone.  taking a .25 of a xanax is not going to kill you if you have taken it before as a matter of fact if it calms your anxiety right now its ok.  Just remember that you must be in a mild to moderate wd before starting it.  Anna Nicole died from cloryllhydrate sp?  Her son OD' on meth and xanax.  Only you know how far you are in detox.  Really if its about getting more dope or taking a suboxone then take the suboxone.  It will help with those cravings...the ones that feel like fire running up your back?  You are so close.  This is like the hardest part.  Forget the methadone now.  You dont need it.  Oxy I am on eastern time so its 630 here.  If you have had nothing since 7am then you can take a dose of suboxone.  Stick it under your tongue and let it disolve completely usually like 20 minutes.  IT will take about an hour to feel better.  Are you in detox?  That is so important.  The worse you feel when you take it the better you will feel when it kicks in.  Let me know

It sucks, I know, well about methadone.  All I can say is I just had a dr visit that didn't go so well.  So ask a doctor or someone who really knows because using the wrong thing could be making it harder in the long run.  Keep it up, though.  There is an end in sight, don't forget you will get better.  You can do this, and the other option sucks.  I hate this too.
