Darvocet is probably the lesser of 2 evils. Still very evil. Have you had issues with substance abuse or misuse of medication in the past??
I was addressing factors that could show if you are on the road to addiction. Be very careful. These drugs sneak up on you and BITE. Stage two is switching to something stronger because Darvocet doesn't work anymore. Many of us got hooked from legitimate pain needs.
After awhile your body manufactures pain so you can get the drugs. It can be a vicious circle. I just want you to be careful and know that there are dangers and side affects to taking any pain killers. Hope this helps. We don't want to be reading about your battle over addiction if we can help you not get addicted in the first place.
Good Luck.
Darvocet is a lesser opiate than vicodin. In other words, its not as strong as vicodin
Propoxyphene (Darvocet) is a medication for treating pain. It is an opioid analgesic (related to opium) chemically similar to methadone. You don't want to compare what is WORSE than what. Ask yourself why you take them. Do you like the buzz? Do you hide pills so you don't run out? Do you wonder where the next batch or Rx is coming from? Are you panicked when you think you're going to run out? If yes, then you probably are.
How long have you been taking? How many and what strength per day?
Don't be hard on yourself if you feel that you are addicted. The first step is acknowledging to truth. This forum is a great place to learn, grow and quit. We are all here to do our best to help you quit.
