Severe foot pain

When will this let up? On day 2 right now. The only withdrawals I have is low energy and severe foot pain. Due to being on them a very short amount of time I am sure. I was on 6 tramadol a day for 1.5 months. The pain is so bad in my feet it prevents me from sleeping some. No other withdrawl symptoms. Advice? I've been soaking them in a lot of hot water and Epsom salt which helps. But I can't be in the tub 24/7 ;) thanks guys!

Hey Shawnee

Good advice above, I just wanted to pop in and point out that the pain killers have been prescribed each time for the same issue from what I can tell?  Correct me if my assumption is wrong.  Some after care you can do if this is the case is to not allow painkillers to be prescribed for that condition since it always winds up the same in the end.  Now I know that is no answer for the condition, but if you don't find another solution this merry go round will continue with no relief for yourself.

Hi and Welcome back..
So sorry that you had to go on those meds again.
I would have to agree with Lu on the vit/min.
Also maybe when you get out of the tub go put your Legs and Feet under a Heating Blanket..I had the Bone ache BAD because of the Methadone and the Heating Blanket was my best friend..I wish you the best and I sure hope you can get into that aftercare or even more church.
Bless

Hey Shawnee-
I'm glad you are back, but sorry to hear that you are going through this yet again.  The rollercoaster is exhausting hey?  I remember when you first came on this site with the Vicoden addiction, and then again a few months ago with Tramadol.  The aching feet seem to be your personal hellish detox symptom.  Honestly, we've told you all we know, the only thing I could add would be to try some Tiger Balm (the asian stuff) I have found it at the pharmacy before but the best place is a health food store, or Whole Foods if you have one.
I know how much it su*ks to have to go back on opiates after swearing you would NEVER take them again.  I was on for 6 years due to chronic pain and illness.  After a successful surgery in 2010 I tapered for a long time (a year) because I was on a crazy high dose, but I got fed up and went cold turkey in December of 2011.  That was when I found this site and I was dead serious about NEVER taking pills again.
I invested heavily in my aftercare.  I did SMART recovery (they have online meetings, you should check it out) and EMDR for my PTSD that I had from various medical traumas and an abusive marriage.
I lived with little pain for 2 years.  Then my stage 4 endometriosis came back to rear it's ugly head.  I was too scared to go back on pain meds but it got to the point in April of this year where I was completely debilitated.  I was vomiting from the pain, and at risk of losing my business which I'd worked so hard to build.  My family and man and friends had an intervention with me and I finally agreed to take a low dose daily until surgery, which was supposed to be in June.  Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control, my surgery was pushed twice.  I am one month post op today and not close to healed.  My pain in the past 6 months and post op has been the worst thing I have EVER gone through.  I am doing a very slow taper as I cannot risk throwing my hormone levels off, and I have been through so much I can't take another hard detox at this time.  I think I would crumble completely.  My aim is to be pill free and working to conceive in the New Year.
I've done really well keeping my dose low, and not abusing my meds.  I was completely honest with my doctor about everything, and she is monitoring me closely.  I don't think I could have done this without aftercare and recovery work.  Please consider doing something about aftercare this time, because I would hate to see you back here again.
I understand that you are taking your pills legitimately, but you keep finding yourself in this position.  It is clear you need some recovery work so think about it okay?

Also, reading all your posts I have noticed that the foot and bone pain is really your worst detox symptom.  I would say that you are REALLY low in calcium and magnesium.  Taking Vitamin C ascorbate would really help you.  It has calcium in it and Vitamin C and calcium together maximize absorption of both these vitamins.
Also try a combo of ibuprophen and tylenol for the pain.  I can't take NSAIDS because I have Crohn's disease but I use extra strength tylenol or Tylenol arthritis for the bone pain I get from my Rheumatoid Arthritis and it helps take the edge off.
Hang in there...
