hydrocodone/liver damage

ive been reading posts on this site for the past couple of weeks. it is very helpful. i am addicted to hydrocodone. ive been taking them for 3yrs. the last 7 months about 10 pills a day. 10/650 or 10/325. i stopped a couple of weeks ago. my dr. put me on suboxone. my question is: ive seen alot of stories about addiction, like i said i was taking 10 pills a day, which i thought was alot, and maybe. but some people on here were to 30 and 40 pills a day. i havent seen a post where people talk about the damage the pills have caused their liver or kidneys. has anyone had any problems with their liver or kidney?

My sister is clean almost a year from severe abuse where her organs shut down(kidneys&liver).She was taking180 10/500 n like4days&120 2mg xanax gone n a week.I thought that would overdose u but It didnt.After years of severe abuse she was coming down&she had c/t d/t many times.not by choice she.ended up n the hospital they told her her organs were failing she was gonna die by31if she didnt stop.She did90days rehab been clean AND doing better than she ever has.Ironically her quitting inspired me to.When she was AWFUL I was still recreational.then i got2about where u r.***** c/t but63days clean.I know for me who used about the same as u.I have bad issues with pain of an acid reflux type thing,throwing up stomach acid&at29getting what my doc thinks r ulcers he flat out told me I did damage to my liver worse than someone who gets drunk everyday from abuse.I never so much as.got heartburn b4I got all strung out on opiates now I have issies EVERYDAY.U can only really KNOW ur damage level by seeing a specialist.

were you taking hydrocodone? so ur dr didnt give you anything for the damage or is their not anything they can give you.  i read where the liver is the only organ that can heal on its own. if the damage was drug induced.  

did i read right?  180   10/500 hydro in 4 days??    how many years did she abuse the drugs

In have managed some significant liver damage in addition to some other problems. But I was one of those 25-35 ten mg norco per day users...for years...and I did my first China WHite during Vietnam in 1969 - - so I had a pretty extensive career.........OFFENDING AGENTS MUST BE WITHDRAWN FOR THE LIVER TO WORK ON ITSELF.

@TonyU read that right she wasnt on any long term meds for it it heals itself as much as it can when u quit
