Day # 5 today was a good day, not as emotional as the last few still no food, big pot of chicken soup on the stove using the I a d but can not find the RLS meds. Any ideas on aftercare, is there anythig like AA? Based on the last five days I would rather die in pain than go through WDs again

Actually, the testosterone suppliment can aid with the lack of energy. The awful feelings are the WDs. There's a reason it's hard to quit. WDs are nasty. I put it off for 2 years. I thought I could use a little here and there. Just doesn't work. Use the thomas recipe. Its like an asprin for a migraine but it does help. Clean shorts, $6.00, keeping them clean while you're wearing them, priceless. Immodium, Use it. Check out the amino acid protocol. I'm a skeptic of herbal remedies but I think these were very helpful. I know that it feels pretty hopeless right now but if you hang on for just a few more days you become your own master again. There's intermediate and long term issues to deal with but there's time to research and address those in a little while. Soon, you'll feel yourself getting better each day. Good luck and hang in there. Free for 31 days and counting!!
Being very emotional is a big part
if it all. It will lighten up in a few more
days then continue to
get better. It's temporary.
Ah hah! I am wondering if the testosterone supplement is playing a role here. I don't have to tell you that you picked a bad time to start that, I am sure you are thinking the same thing. I don't know much about it so I really can't answer that. It is the dinner hour and it is quiet here right at the moment. Be patient and later on this evening it will pick back up. I am sure someone will be able to give you some additional information.
I have never been so close to God as I have been in the last four days. Cursing myself for doing this to my body. On top of it I have a low testosterone and started testostore suppliment which have not helped my emotional state. Is this ongoing cying normal???
I hear you with the mini donuts. Sugar is like "therapy" during detox. However, it is empty calories and not helping. Try some toast and maybe the soup I suggested. Chicken soup is good for a broken toe, divorce or withdrawal. LOL
You are doing great. Keep talking and hang in, the physical is almost over.
I have taking ambien to try ans sleep but it only last for 2 hours now , trying the hot showers, I know why in the last year I have had this RLS off and on.....WD sysmtoms. I never considered it. I was perscribed the ambien for the creepy crawlys in mylegs, I hope it stops soon., 4 days 2 mini donuts, water and vitaman water, and that has to forced down
Okay, that is what I was wondering. PHEW! I was going to tell you how lucky you are to have escaped all of that. The good news is that it is normal and it should be almost over by the weekend.
There are supplements (OTC) that you can take to help ease those symptoms. Immodium for the bathroom issues and Hyland's RLS for the leg movements. Take as many hot baths as you can. Stay hydrated and make sure that you keep yourself fed, even if it is only chicken soup and dry toast.
Keep posting and letting us know how you are doing. Any questions, just ask. If you want to cry, scream, stomp your feet...this is the place. By the weekend we will talk about what you are going to do for aftercare.
Hang in there and be good to yourself.
OMG no not the only symnton, sleep disorder , RLS, diareha. I am keep busy around the house, painting, wife works until late, I have a brother who was a addict which I dont like very much, maybe it would help to talk to him. It takes me about 10 days to feel really good usually like clockwork. Until then I am just like you.
Hi & Welcome,
Is the emotional state the only symptom of withdrawal you are experiencing right now? Let us know and someone here can help you through this.
Hang in there and keep talking here. There are many of us who have been right where you are. We are here to support you.
I suggest taking some vacation time at a friend's house. Play a little bit of games, and have fun. Take your mind off of it and you will find yourself ok. But once you get past day 5 of quitting anything, you will be alright. Keep pushing yourself :)
