check out the thomas recipe, madtram is right it is worth it. and get some exercise..i promise walking outdoors will help alot...even though it feels like you will die just getting to the kitchen force yourself to get out. it makes recovery a little faster. and line up some aftercare...once detx is over the mental part kicks in....hang in there it does get better.
Hopefully this will be the toughest time you face, the first week is often a write-off but you will have such a sense of achievement as soon as you start to feel better.
Read Emily Post's journal for a long termer's tram detox experience. I found it so reassuring to not be alone with the crazy wdwal side effects & her recovery timetable has been similar to mine.
The Thomas recipe is definitely worth it. I found DLPA particularly good for pain & nerves.
For sleep, I had to turn to Lunesta, prescription med & I don't know that I would have made it thru the first weeks without sleep. I tried all natural remedies first but nothing worked for me. I have had no side effects or wdwals from Lunesta.
Happy to help with any questions but you will find a lot in Em's journal. Be extra kind to yourself, Michelle
I don't have any personal experience with ultram just what I read here, and it sounds like it's a wicked drug to detox from.Try the hot baths for the RLS,eat plenty of bananas, heating pads, try wrapping your legs with ace bandages tight, but not too tight, exercise as much as possible even if just a walk around the block a few times. They also sell something at Walmart called Hylands restful legs.As for the sleep you can try some melatonin, they sell it at GNC or even some benadryl.Hang in there someone who has a lot more knowledge about ultram will come along and be able to answer your question about how much longer..All the best....Kim
