i am trying to taper from vic. my doc switched me to lyrica.will lyrica help with withdrawel and will it help with my pain from fibro

I 2 have fybro and was on lyrica and I found it to not really help and I was gaining weight and felt like I was a balloon its different with every one but I took it along with my pain meds, and they will take u off that slowly if they find it to not be working for u. It cause me headaches as well its suppose to calm the attacks down but found it to work some what for my back but its not going to be able to help u with weaning off the pain meds its just to go along with it to help out with the attacks u have u can go to a site and look it up and give u all the info u will need or even go to the rite aid or what pharmacy u may have around u and they can give u a print out of the drug hope things work out and hugs

I hope it works cant stand being on them.But cant stand pain also.I hope the lyrica will work.Do you know anything about lyrica?How long did u taper for?

that sounds like a very reasonable plan. I was taking more than you and tapered faster, but after doing it think slower may have been easier. I think you could probably cut a 1/2 pill every 3 days or at least try it and see how you do.

i am trying to cut a 1/4 a pill every 3 days .I was taling 6 a day. I just cant stand the fibro pain.

I don't know for sure if I have fibromyalgia or not? It seems like I do from what I have read of the symtoms. I don't think my doc wants to diagnos my pain as fybro for some reason? He gave me some lyrica for free about a year ago and I just tried them again for about a week, I don't seem to notice any help at all from them, but I do think I got all of the side effects? I really can't be sure where the side effects are coming from though I am coming off of a terrible flu, cold whatever, but I quit taking the lyrica, they don't help me but of course we are all a little different, different source of pain, different improvement method. I am sure though that the vic, is dangerous and wouldn't mess with anything I didn't just have to. Good luck
