This is an amazing forum! It has helped me so much in the last two days, its just incredible! I had no idea that so many people feel the exact same way as I do! I always thought I was unique or something! I didn't understand that thousands of people suffered the same issues during their pill addictions and the same problems during detox/withdrawal/recovery.
I read these posts and I am absolutely blown away that almost every post could have been written by one person and we all feel that we could have written it. Wait. Did that make sense? I mean the parallels are uncanny.
Please, if you are new here like me, keep reading and keep posting. If you are too sick to post, just read. That's what I did. It really helps!

This forum is amazing and so important for all of us in recovery. We are all in the same boat! Thankfully I have no outside sources. Just my dr who I will be speaking to. If i did I would have to delete their number. We will have tough days and those pills cant be in our reach. For those of you who have dealers please delete their number! You can do this! We need to get off this crazy sick ride for good! We owe that to ourselves! Wish I could keep typing but I am in day 3 of w/d and its the worst so far. Will be reading though. Keep up the great work everyone!

Hi there, it's so great to have a place like this to go. There are people here in all stages of recovery who will support and guide you. So glad you're here! But I just want to say that you need to make sure you can't get any pills no matter what! Cut your sources. You will face some weak moments as the mental w/d kick in and you need to make sure it's impossible or very difficult to score. This is key. My dealer was my close friend of 25 years so I understand your dilemma. Although I could easily find his number, I erased him off my cell and out of my life. You need to go to NA when you feel better to make new clean friends who you can reach out to when times get tough. Keep posting,  welcome and always here for you!

It would be a good idea to get a new number(that's what I did) and erase contacts, so glad I did it! EVERYONE has weak moments.also I too luv everybody on here they helped me so much!!

i actually just got off the phone with one of my "guys" unfortunately he is also a friend and addict too. just needed someone to talk to real time. he is "one of the good guys" id asked him to ignore any of my requests for pills after thursday and he (as I knew he would) kept his word. we just talked he didnt offer and told me if I ask, i can go f@#$ myself. i didnt ask and all is good. just needed to vent to someone who understands "realtime" it did me good. I havent really left the house or talked to anyone since i started down this road so you guys are all I have......and for that, I cant thank you enough

I always thought I was alone also. I thought I was the only one to do sneaky things, and lie, and everything else.  I learned that addiction does not discriminate.  I love this place. Some of the best people on earth are here.  Keep posting and sharing. Someone can always relate.

It has helped me tremendously! Every time I am feeling poorly, or afraid, or my "junkie mind" is telling me I should get pills, I just get on to this site.
We are PILL FREE. Let's keep up the good work!!

i am also new to this site. and you are 100% correct!! i couldve written every post (in regards to norc withdrawal) myself. it truly is an awesome thing just to have people here to chat with that understand EXACTLY whats going on. there have been a few times today where i thought calling "my guy" was the only answer, but then a simple kind message from someone who truly understands helped me through......freaking sweet!!!!!
