Vicodin withdrawal...shouldn't it be better by now?

Been off vikes since last Sunday (took the last 3 Sat).  Still MISERABLE in terms of diarrhea and on and off vomitting (mostly morning), exhaustion.  I've been taking opium/belladonna suppositories for a rectal issue I have (why I was prescribed the vikes in the first place).  These have never gotten me 'high' and since they are a different medication, I thought maybe they would help w/some w/d symptoms (I never abuse these or go over dosage and my pharmacists friend said the about of opium is very small.  Now, am I making things worse by using the suppositories for actual pain?  Could they be making the diarrehea worse?  Also, taking valium to help me sleep at night.  Sorry so long.  Any thoughts appreciated.  It could also be that I have a bit of a stomach virus, coincidentally, as 2 of my 3 children have diarrhea this week too.   Thanks.

Thank you so much for responding. It actually says that constipation is a side effect, but the vikes never constipated me either (I have a TERRIBLE stomach).  I've taking them for about 3 months (after quitting for 3 weeks) and taking them for a year before that (does that make sense).  I've never had such trouble like this getting off them, maybe some mild discomfort and irritability, but I haven't been that irritable, just had a very upset, crampy stomach.  Thanks again.

There are alot of people here that wil be able to offer ALOT more advice than myself but my opinion is you do most likely have a touch of a tummy bug and sometimes it can take a while to W/D. How many were you taking and for how long?I have heard of the physical symtoms lasting a month.Good luck and stick with it.Also have you read the side effects of the meds that you are on now?Diarrhea may be one of them that was masked by the vikes ya know???Just some ideas.
