kratom after iboga

can I take kratom after an iboga retreat? I just got back from an ibogaine detox from suboxone. the mind is wide awake but the body is wiped out - I assume it is just 8 years of meds trying to seep out in such a quick time... but am wondering what happens if I take kratom? will I just be starting a new cycle of badness?

thanks for any answers or experiences shared!
peace love and happiness to all!

TIME is what you need now, not kratom.  As addicts we want that instant gratification and it doesnt happen like that when we clean up.  Give your body time to heal from the inside.  Our organs took a beat down!

I was on Suboxone for eight years too - crazy. You will rebound on your energy, I'm sure of it. Just keep focused on the fact that your body is healing and don't try too hard to fight it. This too shall pass -- then you're on to better things!

Ibogaine is amazing - glad you found it. I'm also happy to share the info about my provider should anyone be interested. Just send me a note or a message.

Peace - Nic

How crazy expensive and how did you even find a provider for this?

Thanks for the reply. See the crazy thing is the Kratom idea was not for feelings but energy. My mind is alive and spinning, it is the body that is wiped out. Hard to get active in the mornings and am wanting to sleep or just make the indent on my couch a bit bigger each day. I know this is just because all the bad stuff is getting out of me. Hopefully a week or two more and I will be back to full throttle on the energy. I will stick it out and keep to a low glycemic diet w/ TONS of fruits and veggies. :)

The iboga detox was not bad at all. I had read of others that got sick or had nausea but I went through it just fine. I did spend close to two days on a bed and the body had a bit of atrophy once it was time to finally get moving again, but a good massage helped with all of that.

I had an EXCELLENT Healer that I worked with. She has been doing this for years with a mile long list of patients that have stayed clean after working with her. Even after the retreat she continues to check in and make sure I am ok each day.  I would suggest if anyone wants to go through the treatment they research their provider and make sure they have a good connection with them. Make sure you trust they have your best interest and that they will be there for you down the road, not just during your weeks visit. Of course this was my first and only treatment and only provider so I can only imagine when dealing with something like this all of them are this way. I don't think people begin to help with ibogaine unless they have the natural ability to want to help people, so whomever you decide to use should be ok. Its a great thing that these people are doing to help and all I can say is thanks for the support and encouragement from all!

Ok, sounds good. Thanks for the advice and info. The crazy thing is my mind feels great. I feel happy. I just have NO energy. Again, like you said I am sure it will pass as it was close to 8 years on suboxone that I detoxed from. Thanks for the reply and the encouragement!

i think aftercare is much, much more important here.
you are setting yourself up for relapse already by wanting to use chemicals to alter your feelings.
even though you have been detoxed, the brain still needs to heal and learn to make all the feel good chemicals on it's own.  this takes time.  by using kratom or anything you are negating that process.

was the ibogaine detox harsh??
congrats on getting clean.  now the hard work begins--- the mental part

Congrats on the detox - I trust you learned A LOT about yourself. Ibogaine is amazing, but it definitely wipes you out. As far as the Kratom, I would suggest you skip it. Ride this out. After my Ibogaine experience I too was wiped out physically but I promise it will pass shortly. The last thing you want to do is start right back into a cycle of taking another substance to escape the physical. Stay strong - you can do this!
