Lidoderm really can't be abused.. it is not a narcotic and produces no high or euphoria Their are other patches such a Durgesic that are a narcotic, Fentenyl that can be abused..

The only issue with "abuse" is using too many at one time and causing a medical reaction. You are only supposed to use them 12 hours a day, and there is a risk of some absorption of lidocaine into the bloodstream if you were to use a whole bunch of them at once, which could cause an irregular heart rhythm, but it is very rare.
