hi dana and welcome to MH. yes the withdrawals hurt and it will take time to feel better. after putting toxins and poisons in your bodys for years it will take time to detox but it can be done. there are many success storys of people getting and staying clean. read on the forum they are there.
i would definitely not recommend the sub. it is just switching addictions. it is still a pill. you can get and stay clean with some supplies to help you to be more comfortable throught the withdrawals. on the bottom right of the page is the health pages, look through those. the thomas recipe. you also need to cut your contact with all your suppliers, dealers and doctors. change the people, places and things associated with your use. also seek aftercare, counseling one on one with therapist, psychologist, addiction specialist, psychologist, support groups na/aa, church.
it isnt easy but to reclaim your lives it is so worth it.
pray, keep the faith, hope, believe, trust, it can be done.

Although Suboxone is a great drug, I would warn you not to use it without the direction of your doctor.
Go and talk to your GP. He's heard a lot worse, I can assure you. Taking it under his direction is the only way to take Subs, unless you want to end up with a Sub addiction (which has 10x worse w/d's than Norco, or so I've heard).
There is a med called suboxone and it will help you, you must go 13+ hours with none of the other meds you are taking and then they give you the sub and it make the withdraws go away:) Good luck I did it 7 years ago and I use very little sub now
