lorazepam taper

i was wondering what kind of taper i should do with the lorazpam. ive been on it for 6 months and for 4 months i took 1mg than i started to take 2 mgfor the past couple months.
im tapering of oxys aswell and going to detox soon, do you think its a good idea to quit both at once? or should i wait till i get off the oxy's?

For the Lorazepam, I think you may want to discuss with your doc. Since it's a benzo, you should create a taper schedule. You and your doc will know whats best.

Personally, W/D from opiates for me created anxiety, so I do take an Ativan (Lorazepam) once in a while...it helps.

Ask your doc...

i, too, am tapering off lorazepam while detoxing from hydros.....not so much fun

as for the lorazepam, i was up to 3 mg. at night, then dropped to 2 mg. at night, then 1.5 mg. at night for a month, then it will be 1 mg at night for a month, then .5 mg at night for a month, and from there i'll jump off totally.....yes, we have to be careful with the benzos....this is the taper my doctor suggested for me.....
