Don't give up on the counseling. It can be done.
So tell me what you mean by home remedies. A lot of members here did ct and did it with natural supplements that helped to ease withdrawal.
is there any way that you could possibly take 3 more days off from work? this is thinking you're probably off on Monday and that would allow u to go cold turkey and get through the worst of it - check out the "Thomas Recipe" listed down at the bottom right side of this page.
it sounds like you're interested in counseling, and a lot of places see patients after regular hours, if you could afford that - does your job include some type of health insurance that might be able to help you?
I would try counciling or some type of help but the problem is tha ive dug my self so much in debt by using and buying meds to where i cant afford to take off work if i do my family would suffer and i cant do that to them wich i know they are now but atleast me takin the med i still have income i wish i could find an alternate like some kind of home remedy tx for the comments they are all takin with consideration
You can do it, and congrats on being 3 months sober... u don't need that stuff to kick the meds. I'm now on my 34th day of going cold turkey from oxycontin & percocets, ten years of rx drugs. It's been a tough road, but the first few days are the worst.
I felt the same as you did, I was thinking when I ran out of meds and couldn't get any more that I had no reason at all to live. But after I actually stopped, just on my first day, and every day after that, all those thoughts disappeared. I really don't understand it; it was just my mind thinking I couldn't do without the drugs.
Other people will have diff ideas about tapering; I didn't have or use that opportunity. But YOU CAN DO THIS!
Hi & Welcome,
I can hear your struggle as you type. You are not alone in that you use to numb your feelings. Many of us do/did. It seems that unless you get help with that, you are going to continue. You need to get the tools to be able to deal with your family, and anything else that comes your way in life, without the use of mind or mood altering substances.
I would list all the things you could use to quit cold turkey right now but unless you address the core issues, there is no sense.
Is in-patient treatment possible? What about counseling?
