The body replaces itself every seven years and this includes several parts of the brain. There is controversy on whether or not it is the whole brain as for years many believed brain cells did not rejuvenate. I believe they do and if you were to eat healthy, exercise, abstain from opiates as well as other vices and generally lead a healthy lifestyle, over time you would be completely renewed. Unfortunately, such rewards do not come without challenge.
Unfortunately the answer to your question is maybe yes. Let's not kid ourselves, long term use of opiates cause long term changes in your brain. It's reversible, but the degree of change will depend on dosage, length of time using, and method of administration. You are in WD now but you might have to deal with these other changes when you are through with that. Educate yourself and get help. Good luck.
Your doc should have started taperring you off the sub months ago. Sub is just a drug replacement therapy to lessen the wd. If used to long it just becomes another addiction to stop. You are just going thru wd and it will last longer with sub than your original drug if not done properly.
Nope.
Classic WD symptoms. And unfortuately, those crazy muscle spasms (RLS) are probably the last symptom to go after getting clean. It's hell...but they wont last forever.
Sub is an opiate just like pain pills. When you quit sub, your quitting an opiate and unfortunately will have w/drawal symptoms. The lower dose you quit from the better. Even quitting on 1mg can cause bad withdrawal. Those that have gotten down to .25 or less (a tiny sliver or crumb of a 2mg pill) have had the best success regarding withdrawal. Withdrawal wont last forever so just hang in there and stay strong.
Good luck and many blessings.
No you are just going thru withdrawls from the sub.
