not myself

I don't know what is wrong with me lately. I'm addicted to hydrocodone and I'm trying to taper. Its going okay for as that. But last week I had a horrible virus. And since then I haven't felt like myself. I've been very depressed. So depressed that I often think " I hate my life". No i would never do anything to hurt myself. I have two beautiful kids and they are the reason I get out of bed in the morning. I've tried talking to my husband, but he doesn't understand. I don't even understand. I'm generally a happy person. I just hate going home at night. Its like everything is dark and i cant get out. Is this normal?  I don't know if I explained it well, not sure how too. Just needed to get some of this out. Maybe if I do I'll feel better soon..   Anyone have any ideas on how to get me out of this funk?

is this a constant funk or an every now and then funk? it might be the hydros getting you down, they will turn on you after a  while...or you might need anti depressants for a time,or it could be just you feel like crud since you had been sick....winter months are notorius for bringing on depression,i didnt check to see where you were from but this cold weather has been dragging me down!! it can be any number of things, but once you get off the hydros you will notice a difference in a very positive way...

your funk may be related to your hydro use.  if you are cutting back on your pills you could be experiencing the depression od w/ds and if not it could just be from using....how many pills a day are you taking?  for how long and how much have you tapered?  those answers will help us know how to help you.  dont give up..
