Lyrica (pregabalin)  is a more potent form of gabbapentin, it is an anti convulsant drug, which is also used for neuropathic pain and generalized anxiety disorder.  

It can also have some serious side effects just like gabbapentin, which include depression, drowsiness, and suicidal tendencies.
  Not something I would want to run out and get for wd's. It must be carefully monitored by your Doc.

Lyrica is a serious medication.  It should only be used under a doctor's supervision.  It is possible it could help with withdrawals, but I believe that is on an individual basis and not something that works across the board for everyone.

Hey thanks, a new joiner of this group. I am on 11 mgs of methadone  down fro 360 mgs. Never heard of Lyrica, will check it out.

Actually on 11mgs as the clinic will not let me go down more than 10% so I drop my  twice a week pickup to once a week.
