Lesah! So glad to hear from you and especially glad that you are doing well! For a long time I felt like you do - focussing on my addiction and accepting the "addict" label only makes it worse and harder to heal but Please consider this. Not embracing and remembering our active addictions can be very dangerous. You can and should redefine yourself at this point but you must never forget where you came from - doing so makes it very likely that you will end up there again. There are many young women like you, visiting this site for the first time, feeling lost and hopeless. Your story can both give them hope and helping them by sharing your story can make the mistakes you made valuable to a cause higher than youself. Please give some more thought to visiting us more often and your aftercare. God Bless and Good Luck!

Congratulations! That is awesome. Just remember that you are still an addict. You are a recovering addict, not an addict in active addiction. Be careful not to become complacent because this disease is cunning, baffling and powerful and will sneak up on you when you are not looking. Stay vigilant, stay strong and whatever you do, just don't use!! Best of luck!
