oxy addiction

I have been abusing about 60-80 mgs of oxy a day for about 4-5 months.
I never used them before this period.
How long will it take for my body to feel completely like it did before after i completely stop.

Or will i always be miserable afterwards?
Will my body rebound after one or two months after i stop.

I appreciate any info.
Thanks

I really appreciate the feedback.

I am going to try to start tapering my dose down 10mg a day so hopefully after one week i will be down to 10 mg/day or zero.

i really do appreciate the encouragement and feedback greatly.

Hi Nighta - welcome to the forum.

All things considered 60 - 80 mg is not as bad as some, so you will feel better.  Buzzhorn is right, it does get better and after the first 4 -5 days, it gets better quick.  If you are able to taper down, that is the best way.  If you are using 10mg tabs, try cutting back one pill every other day - or better yet, cut back one pill each time that you dose.  Then you will want to start going longer in between your doses.  I tapered before and I would go as long as I could stand it - having mild withdrawal - before taking another dose.  I was using hydrocodone (vicodin).  I tapered down until I was taking only 1/2 pill per day, then quit.  At that point, I really did not have much withdrawal, but felt more anxious than anything and that only lasted for a couple of days.  The good news for you is that you really have not been taking them that long and your body should heal fairly quick.  Keep posting - start working on yourself and let us know how things go.  Take Care

It does get better!  That's a promise!

We're a community here and now you're a part of our family!  Which means you have people here praying for you!  Giving advice from the perspective of having been there before personally.

As a general rule from what I've read here and other places it's about a two week grind to a level playing field for most.  First 3 days very bad, rest of first week after that not great but better.  Next week always getting better.  After two weeks energy mostly back, runs are over, whole lot less sweating while you feel cold.

Remember all this starts counting done once you actually quit.  If you taper it's not as painful.  Read the Thomas Recipe and Amino Acid Protocol.  There's a link to each on the lower right hand side of this page.  I didn't know about them or tapering when I first started so it's important to me to share them.

Good Luck!  Stay Strong!  We're praying!
