For the sake of your sanity, please seek medical help when coming off of this very high amount of Oxycotin. I admire you for wanting to improve your self and your life, that takes a lot of strength, and gut's. If you want it more than your next breath, you WILL succeed.
God bless, good luck, and much success.

Sammy, this is an older post from'07 They are not around anymore.
At that dose, for that long, I'd strongly suggest a medically-assisted detox. The withdrawals after three months of 300 mg are gruesome enough, but I got through it ... beware day 2 -day 5 -- that's the worst of it, and remember it gets noticeably better after that. I was back to work in 10 days.
If you can't do a detox, talk to your dr. about a blood pressure drug called Clonidine which really helps (but you absolutely have to watch your blood pressure and pulse rate regularly, 'cause it's a strong drug) with general discomfort and the inevitable spike in blood pressure, and get a script for a sedative like Valium for the sleep difficulties. Just promise me you'll talk to a professional in the addiction field before you do it.
And you can do it, and we're here to talk to. Good luck and all the best!
Welcome to the forum
Yes you can even though Oxycotin or (Hillbilly Heroin) is probably one of the strongest narcotic pain killers out there....taking a high dose for 7 years your body will betray you for 3-5 days of W/Ds....
Some Amodium and some thing with PM to help you sleep and a near by toilet you can get through it.......
drink some fluids so you don't get dehydrated............
Good luck and yes you can get through this......
