Yeah day 4 of Vicodines!! Fog is lifting...still not great but OK

Well it is day4 off of Vicodine....I am a bit foggy from the meds (non narcotic and small amounts prescribed by an addictional specialist but so I would be able to detox from home and still function) I am ok....Not great but OK...I stopped some of the things she prescribed me b/c they made me so foggy and groggy. She told me not to work but I did work every day this weeek anyway and it was good because it kept me busy and helped the time go by faster! My body is a bit achy but I took some celebrex and hope it will help. I am going to stop taking the rest of her meds over the next day. I slept like a baby lst night (fell asleep before even taking the sleeping aid meds she gave me) at 8 PM (I usually am up till midnihgt) and woke up at 11 PM and took the sleeping meds and a celebrex (my back is killing me) and woke up at 7 to get my 2 little kids off to school and drove again to work. I meet with her today (she is closly monitering my success to make sure I don't relapse or tkae more opiods)
She wants me to go onto Naltrraxone....does anyone know anything about that stuff???????

Look it up-googgle it, but i'm pretty sure it's narcan. Narcan reverses the effects of opiates.If you are taking narcan and then take your DOC chances are you will get zero effect from the narcotic. I guess its kinda a safety net like antabuse(sp?) is to alcohol...

You have been determined to do this and so far your kicking some ***:) Day 4 is usually a tough one so just hang in another day or so and i bet you see some improvement. So your working, taking care of your kids and detoxing at the some time, you are a champ, lol. Congrats on day 4. I don't know much about nalttaxone, but someone here does. Your doing great.
