I to have dealing with a husband on Oxycotin. He was in a car accident three years ago and after a couple of surgeries on his shoulder he is worse then when they started. He is on oxycotin with perkisets some times lowertabs ambitripaline(dont know if that is how you spell it ) and lyrica. He never sleeps, hes moody he looks terrible and our marriage is almost to the point of divorce he doesnt work ,he has been on disability from his job that he no longer has. He recently lost the long term dis. He does nothing all day but lay around. He is so angry and half the time has no idea what is going on. I tell him I think he has addictions but he yells and says he needs it he is not addicted. I am not even sure if he is as much pain as he says he is or if just a addict now!!!! Whats worse is his parents up hold him and belittle me about not be supportive. However when they come around he puts on a show moaning about his pain.
My husband has been on oxycotin for back pain also. Yes the zombie effect seems to be a side effect. He gets a good high at first and then crashes soon after. It's really hard on him because he works 2 jobs to keep a roof over our heads. I lost my job 4 years ago and have been unble to get hired anywhere. He has no choice but to try to function on the meds. He took it upon himself to lower the dosage while working. It's the only way he can function. He doesn't remember conversations and is ill alot also. Since he has been on it his fingernails have turned white , thought the dr says it's a vitamin deficiency. He didn't have this problem before the drug. Good luck.
hoping someone may have a comment?
