The key to a safe benzo taper is to do it very slow and gradually, under the supervision of a doctor. You're on a pretty low dose at this point. Work with your doctor to reduce some more, slowly. Most likely, the symptoms you report are due to the Xanax. It's important that you stick to the taper as well. You taking more here and there will only prolong the taper process and make your w/ds worse.
Best of luck to you!
Are you going CT again? How are you feeling? I wish you luck, Tempe. I really hope it goes well for you this time. Take Care-
Sorry, I always post a reply in the wrong place in this forum. Anyway, I hope these symptoms are from Xanax withdrawal because I feel really weird.
Thanks for your reply
Thanks to all for the replies. I've been on this steady for 4 years and this stuff is scaring me!
I have not had any Z's since. I forgot the nightmares too...crazy stuff!
See your Dr for a plan. I was on Z for three years..2 x day, .5 mg. I generally
took them both at night. A year ago I went cold turkey. I was soooo sick and was seeing bugs coming out of the floor. I found out on day 5 that it is very dangerous going cold turkey. I have been thru 3 ct's off Percs and the Z ct was 10 times worse. I kid you not. I just took my last Perc and am going ct AGAIN. Good luck!
Hi there! I do not have experience with Xanax withdrawal but hang tight, someone will come along that can help ya out.
Great job for getting off the med!!
