if you are hungery. You are there! It is day 8 for me and I am still puking and cant sleep more that 3 interupted hours each night and eat One very small meal each day.
You should find a hobbie. something to keep you busy now that you are feeling better.
Hearing stories like yours helps me.
I CANCELLED MY SCRIPT!! I cannot believe I did it. It was THE hardest thing I have ever done. It took me awhile to dial the numbers and was soooooo nervous. LOL Just wanted to update you all because you people have been supportive. I'm beginning day 8 off hydros and MOST symptoms are gone. Still have stiffness in jaw, neck and back and a bit tired. I also feel kinda hungry all the time. It's ridiculous! I'm used to eating really one meal a day and yesterday I ate 3! I hope the hunger goes away or I'm gonna put on 50 pounds!
thanks... i will.. i was dreaming about them last night about going to the pharmacy and picking them up.. i knew i had to cancel so i will at 9 am when it opens. thanks all..
Congratulations on day 7. Your doing great. I will triple the advise on that script. If you don't cancel it and let your doctor know that you are addicted to them and need to stop taking them you will relapse. You might not get them filled on Tuesday, but unless you are 1 in a million you are going to get them filled. You have to know that you need to stop this madness or you wouldn't be here. Don't wait until you really mess up your life to do something about your addiction. In the early stages of my addiction, I used a few weeks, ran out, got a little dope sick and tolerated the way that I felt until I got more. Addiction starts small and progresses until it controls everything you do and feel. Canceling that script will be a decision that you have to make. It could be a life changing one. It's your addiction keeping you from doing it. Don't mean to sound like such a pessimistic person but been there, done that. I didn't listen either.I hope you chose wisely. God bless. Corey
Hi congrarts on day 7 You have done great !! That refill will haunt you unless you get hold of your Dr. and tell him you got yourself off.. I did that.. Like you I had a refill waiting.. this was my thrid try at quitting.. I foolishly thought I would win a mental battle and did not want to cut myself off unless I changed my mind.. Guess what.. You always change your mind.. not wanting to sound harsh but you are a relapse waiting to happen.. get yourself to the Dr. and talk to him/her.. he/she will be very proud of you and give you much needed support and encouragement.. You will also find the experience very empowering.. You are almost past the bad physical and soon will be feeling pretty good in that department.. trust me on this one.. Then it is the mental game but cutting off your supply will make that one easier and a lil fresh air and movement... I really do wish you well on your recovery.. and please think about what I said.. take care.. lesa
That achy feeling will soon let up.Exercise really helps that. The more you do the better you will feel.Seven days is wonderful, congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! The fact that you are already thinking about that refill on Tuesday and worried about relapse is concerning. It might be in your best interest to cancel it and avoid the mind games that might happen on Tuesday if you don't.All the best.....Kim
