percocet and vicodin

hello my name is tim ive been doing between 10 to 20 perk 5mg a day if i cant find perks i take vicodin ive been trying to quit for the longest i now have my mind really set on it , i quit about a year ago the withdrawls were so bad im scared to quit again but i have to can anyone give me some advice on anyway to make the withdrawls easier or if i should slowly get off or what i could do please help. My current plan was to take 1 adapex a day that way i would have energy to do my job and get through the day and eat 2 perks a day does that sound right.

Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure what adapex is, but someone else might. If you feel tappering is what will work for you, give it a try. Most people find it hard to do unless you have someone hold your pills and dole them out to you. Do you have someone that can do that?  How long have you been taking pain meds?

been taking them everyday for the last 8 months quit for 2 months b4 that had been aking them for about 3 years but nothing close to this time b4 it was just a couple every few days then when it increased to everyday i quit

The Valium is used basically to calm you and allow you to get some sleep, so the xanax would probably be ok.  BUT A WARNING; Use these as little as possible, only as needed for a short time. They are a Benzo and addictive. If you use to much for to long, you'll get hooked on that and you cannot, under any circumstances go cold turkey with a benzo due to seizures and death. So if you use the xanax, use it spareingly and not for a long time, a week to 10 days. Be careful with that stuff, it can be a nightmare.
