picked up vitamins, minerals, supplements, am I missing anything?

Hey everyone...yesturday my father and I went out to start gathering all the necessary suppliments so I can start building up for when I C/T.  Yes, thats right...I've decided enough is enough...and this tapering I've been doing just keeps going up and down, up and down...and I've had it!  My plans are to do a quick taper while taking all the suppliments, and then just tough it out.  I don't have a primary care physician, and I don't know if I can get a doctor at urgent care to write me a script for clonidine, but I guess its worth a shot.  I just wanted to put down what I've got so far, and see if anyone recommends anything additional.  I'll put down what I have, and where I got it at in case anyone else is looking for the same thing.

Here is what I have so far.

1.) Multi-vitamin (centrum A-Z)  taking twice per day, morning and night.  *Bought at Rite Aid
2.)  Whey Protein powder (chocolate flavor) for protein shakes.  It also includes L-Glutamine in it.  I'm drinking two shakes per day.  I mix shake powder, milk, and a banana, and its pretty good.  *Bought at Rite Aid
3.)  Vitamin C tablets (500 mg), Taking two per day  *Bought at Rite Aid
4.)  Melatonin tablets (5mg), taking one at night before bed  *Bought at Rite Aid
5.)  Omega 3, 6, and 9 fish oils (1605 mg), taking twice per day  *Bought at GNC
6.)  Milk Thistle (200 mg)  Taking two in the am, and two in the pm.  *Bought at GNC
7.)  Sam-E  (400mg)  Once a day  *Bought at GNC

I screwed up the first time I did the amino acid protocol and took both for about a month. I didn't have any adverse reactions to it but don't recommend it!! After a relapse months later I started off with the sam-e and took it for a couple weeks. I then stopped it and took the 5-htp. They both seemed to work about the same for me. If you already have the sam-e I would just stick to it. If cost is an issue you could switch the to 5htp after your sam-e runs out since it is over half the price. I would just give it a couple days of not taking the sam-e before switching over if you decide too.
So when's your first day of ct?

Another question...do you think taking 5htp is better then taking the sam-e?  From what I understand, you shouldn't mix them correct?

Also ... just an FYI on the Fish Oil (Omega 3) ... I can't take Fish Oil it makes me very dizzy.  If you find yourself getting dizzy suddenly it may be the fish oil.  Look it up.  It does that to some people.  I know most people find it beneficial and most of my family takes it for all the health benefits, but some people ...

I agree with tramhater on adding B complex and mag/cal/zinc. You may also want to add L-Tyrosine. It helps with the energy a bit. It's recommended to take no later than noon or so. I've read that for some it made them jittery but didn't seem to bother me that way. It really seemed to help. L-Theanine is like nature's valium and may be helpful also.
I pretty much took everything from the amino acid protocol and it worked wonders. Not sure if you have checked it out yet but you can find it in the health pages.
Also be sure to exercise, eat healthy, and push the good fluids. I can't stress exercise enough. I know it can seem impossible to muster up the energy to do so but force yourself even if it's just a short walk around the block at first. You will find that each day you will be able to go further and further.
Be sure to keep your mind occupied. Don't lay around waiting for the withdrawals to subside. Laying around gives us too much time to think and thinking can be your enemy. Pick up a good book, watch some good movies, do a jigsaw puzzle, just try to stay busy doing things that you enjoy. Be sure to get out of the house also. It helps so much to move during the day.
You're doing a great thing here. You know you will you have to go through withdrawals eventually as you can't take opiates forever unless you don't want to live a full life. The sooner you start the sooner you will be able to move on with your life. Come here and post as much as needed. There is almost someone here answering posts. You can do this!
Best of luck!

I would add super B complex and mag/cal/zinc supplement.  You will also need imodium and some otc pain reliever like advil if you can take that.  Apple juice and gatorade will help with the leg cramps and keep you hydrated!  Epsom salts for baths too! : )

Good luck honey!!!  You can do it!
