quitting darvocets

hello everyone...I have been addicted to darvocet n-100s for about 8 years now and I have gotten down to 3 or 4 a day. I am sick of being attatched to these pills and I'm worried about what I may have done to my body, mind, etc. Anyway, I want to quit cold turkey but when I called some rehab place they said quitting cold could be dangerous. I need to do this myself and I know that weaning off wont work. Any suggestions? Will I be Ok cold turkey or is this really that dangerous...? The 3 pill habit has been for about 2 years now.

Hey There- i did quit taking 10-12 darv/day for over two years. The first week was a little tuff but after that your body will adjust. My wife helped alot. The people here said that they are a "weaker" pain med but to me they seemed pretty strong. I guess when you take 12 @ a time they will be. You CAN do this cuz if i can you certanly can.
I had RLS, trouble sleeping and anxiety.   Keep on posting   Stay Strong

hello and welcome to the forum. if you have no existing health problems going cold turkey presents no threat to your life. generally it is highly uncomfortable but not life threatening. your blood pressure and heartrate can elevate. if you wish to do this the forum is a wealth of information and support while going through this process. your drug of choice and amount should make it a bit easier on you than others.
if you have any questions just shout out.
