I remember the first time i came to the forum.  I was sick, lonely and hope wasnt a part of my vocabulary.  I remember the wd's and how awful they were.  I also remember thinking once i got thru them it was all over and that was that.  I also remember the members who came to my aid and told me things i needed to hear, not what i wanted to hear.  I had nowhere to go but up so i listened to them and decided WTH....what do i have to lose.  Worried was 3 months clean at the time and i would go to her page and look at her number and think man that is a lifetime of clean days, what i wouldnt do to have them....So i decided to just take one day at a time like they told me.  Avis would come on and tell me what she thought too!!!  GTMI was here at the time and always gave me solid honest info also, then entered IBK......i was scared to death of her as i knew she could smell bs a mile away and wasnt afraid to say what was on her mind.  Some took her as being TO honest but i always appreciated her and knew it came from her heart(so did the others that i mentioned too!!)   Thru my many many struggles that i have had on my journey i just want to thank each and everyone of you for all you have done for me, the countless hours on the phone while i cried my heart out, my moments of rage, and my moments of wanting to throw in the towel.  There are too many to mention but you all know who you are.  I wish you all another day clean and may you find the road of recovery fulfilling.  I am done rambling now!!!   I am sara and i am a recovering addict~~~~~~

when I first came to this forum you reached out to me ...you gave me hope when I had none of my own in a word your AUSUM ...you give 110% of yourself to this forum you make sure that no one slips thew the cracks and you welcome all...you truly have a heart for the addict...you are the genuine article your work here is just part of a much bigger picture ...you do what not many can do you give of yourself your humble you never speak down to anyone you treat everyone as a person and your advise is sound and from the heart...you truly want everyone to succeed and do everything in your power to help them along including taking someone by the hand at the lowest point in there life..to this we all o you a THANK YOU for just being you...so go off and celebrate you worked hard for your clean time and you deserve it...may God bless you abundantly  your friend Mark

That is such a HUGE accomplishment!!!  All of you who have bene clean for that long are such an inspiration to me!  I really look up to all of you!  

I can't wait until I can say the same for myself!  

I would like to here from GaGuy what his thoughts, feelings, and structure is for maintaining this for a year!  What were his biggest struggles?  And how he's managed to keep himself clean.  I think it would be very useful information.  

I'm actually copying, and pasting all of what I think is very valuable, and important information into a summary portfolio for myself to reference back to, and reflect on.

I would also love to hear the same from Dominosarah!  I really admire the both of you!!!

Well, look who has turned two!

When we first met I had already left as CL and I think it was Avis who told me you were a great person. I started reading your posts and loved how you spoke with people and just loved your recovery. But people told me you were nutty.

I got to know to know you and you know what? You ARE nutty!! But that's a good thing. Like the old saying, you work hard and you play hard.

You know your recovery comes before any of the other nonsense and keeping that in the fore front has kept you clean.

I have seen you help many people and one of them is me. You have, and still are, there for me when I can't be and that is what it is all about.

Through the tears I am saying thank you for holding me on the days I couldn't hold myself. Thanks you for always being there. Thank you for reminding me that you have to give it away to keep it.

I am so very proud of you today and proud to call you friend.

Keep doing what you do.
