quitting suboxone how long is this going to take?

I dont know just how stupid I can get!! I came off of methadone about 5 years ago and it was absolutely terrible! Between now and then I would take a few hydros here and there but not too much. I am prescribed the hydros by a dr. for my back 45 a mnth. there only the 5 mg. but anyway being weak minded like I am I tried a piece of suboxone one day just for the high I guess since my life is so repetitious I dont know. but anyway since then which was about a year ago I have graadually worked my way up to taking an 8mg. sub everyday. these are from the street by the way not prescribed.  some days i would even take 12 mg. it started out taking one to one and a half maybe once or twice a week but for the last 3 mths I have gotten bad on them and taking at least a whole 8 mg sub a day.  well, last week my supplier ran out unexpectedly and I didnt know what to do.  I went 4 days with nothing at all and my pupils were so big they covered up the colored part of my eye!! I had diar like crazy and started dry heaving like crazy too. I thought I was going to have to go to the er.  Not to mention my nerves and emotional state oh my god talk about depression and guilt and overwhelming anxiety I thought i was dying. luckily that same day my friend came through but this time i only took half of an 8 mg pill and have been doing that every since then. this was only last week remember.  so since then i take a half every day. I got to get off this mess and only take what im prescribed I have 2 kids a great job an husbvand.  Im trying now to go down to a half every other day instead of every day  then keep dropping from there. but im scared im going to run out again and be in that same situation as last week when i got so sick.  I dont know what to do. I know i can do it because i came off of the methadone and did it the same way.  im just scared and dont want anyone to know especially my husband or family it ***** having to got hrough this alone. I guess my question is if i sing down to the half every other day and keep dropping from there will my withdrawls be as bad as last week and what happens if i run out b4 i have winged off and also, is there any over the counter med i can geat to ease the withdrawls so i dont have to tell anyone whats going on. i know about the vitamin b12 and i also have an advantage of having  kolonopin. i get prescribed that for anxiety. so is there any advice anyone can give me? I have 2 kids and cant just lay around in my misery and i work at a hospital so i cant be sick and try to work too. HELP!!!!!

If it gets too bad you might need to go to the ER, not the hospital you work it but another facility if possible.  There they can treat the wds, just explain what has been happening.  As the attending physician for a prescription of suboxone so you can wean slowly off, or if he/she can't do that ask were the closest prescribing suboxone dr is in your area.  You should not have to suffer.  Good luck to you.

I would suggest coming clean to a doctor and getting some help.  Also you need to get some outside support or counseling. As you saw, suboxone is nothing to play with!  Careful with the Klonopin too. I just really think you need to get some help from a good doctor. There are too many different substances involved here, and I don't want to see you get sicker ok?

Good luck!  This is no way to live!
