in many states, once you receive sub's you are labeled an addict and cannot receive narcotic pain meds.

MANY doctors still believe that tramadol is non narcotic so they prescribe it under that pretense.
since you stated that you went to the er for such a painful problem and were only given tramadol (ultram) then i do believe you are flagged.

even if you got a script from the dentist, it is likely the pharmacy will not fill it.
i have no idea how to get that flag removed.  i think it is WRONG to be flagged just for using sub's.  especially when they do  not explain to you what will happen once you fill that script.
i learned from reading that is what happens and that is why i would never go on sub's.

Just because You only got suboxone once from the doctor and the pharmacist and then decided not to go back anymore doesn't mean you would be red flagged.

If that's what you mean you are absolutely fine.

People get flagged when they go to multiple doctors at the same time and get multiple scripts and then go to more than one pharmacy.

i would think if anyone would flag you, it would be the doctor.  if one pharmacy will not fill your script, simply go to another one.  if you have a valid script i see no reason why a pharmacy would refuse to fill it.

i have heard (don't know for certain) that once you are on sub's you are labeled an 'addict' and cannot receive narcotic pain meds.  like i said, i have only read that on this site. i have no experience myself.

why would your doctor write a script for sub's for pain???
do you have a history of abuse with your doctor or doctors??

Hi & WElcome,

It's a little hard to understand your post/question. You went for Suboxone a year ago and they flagged you? If so, that makes no sense. But if you are flagged, that is forever. But if you weren't flagged a year ago and you are filing a new prescription there are no issues.

While youa re here..are you looking to get clean and need some help? I strongly urge you to re-consider the Suboxone. It is a strong drug and carries with it addiction problems of it's own. I hope you stick around and talk with us. We are here to support you.
