I started using ambien lately due to insomnia brought on by cocaine use, lexapro and nasal decongestants, stress and axiety. They work great. Only thing is...got to be in bed 10-15 min after you take them. If you try to do stuff, work, read, clean up whatever, the sleepy part wears off and it doesn;t help. That my problem. I keep doing coke thinking it will zonk me out but coke overides the sleepiness of ambien. I know...stop the lines! Also, causing some funky wavy hallucinations for 10 minutes or so and some imbalance so try not to be walking around after you take it. SOmetimes a half works for me, especially if I am not getting 7-8 hours. Makes it a little easier to wake up in the morning. WHole 10 mg can zonk me out where I don't hear alarm or my phone in morning. Ambien CR helps if you tend to wake up before you want to, as it is continued release.

I think it is actually for people with scitzophrenia (sorry about spelling).  My thereapist told me when I was taking 400mg that that is what people who were hearing voice where taking (that large dose).  But now I am good on 25mg.  But when I was on the large amount it was hard for me to wake up and not be drowsy.

My sleeping was so bad I was always tired my energy level was down........it took 14 months before I slept 7 straight hours.........it took a year before I could get 6 straight...

Some friends of mine tried seroquel my buddy said it knocked him for a loop.......
I believe it is also perscribed for bi polar problems........

I never tried it..........

Tried to post before, but it didn;t show up.  I use seroquel, and have used it since my last stint in rehab.  I was on 400 mg in rehab, and now I am down to 25 mg.  I tried to quit it and just take rozerem, but I wasn't sleeping good so I went back to the lowest possible dose, and I am doing great with it.  I love it, but in order to get some sleep I had to take a really large dose in the beginning, which didn't bother me in the least, cause I really wanted to sleep!
