will the anxiety go away

i am addicted to Xanax i know it and so does my doctor i have tried to taper down but the anxiety is so horriable there is a list of things i could tell you come with the anxiety but i guess the worst is completely feeling like im going insane seriously not a metaphore insane so im almost at the end of my perscription and im just so scared this is by far the worst thing to ever happen to me so will the anxiety go away once i stop the Xanax what should i expect i mean i know were all different and results are usally different but i you have been threw this the worst part is not knowing when the end will come if ever will i still have anxiety and if so how long THANK YOU

Ella is correct you have to taper. Seizures are a very real possibility.
Benzo are tuff. You can do many have!! Taper!!

Xanax must be tappered very slowly, it can cause head rushes blures and all kinds of weird stuff!!  Your Dr. needs to help you with this one.  Tappering to the lowest minscule amt.  over time,  but never just stop once you have been taking it every day for a while.  Read all the info you can abt. withdrawl and stay in touch with your Dr.  He needs to help you with this.  My son took it for  awhile and he said it was kick--- stuff.  He never wanted to take it again.  And he only took it for a month!!  

  I am sure others will be on here after awhile,  sometimes it is slow on here.  Just know that you are not alone in dealing with this.  Read the other pages on here and search for info on it.
