soma show up n drug testing as benzo

I am prescribed 2 somas at night due to pain and spasms.  I have had surgery but now my hips hurt.  Here is the question.  I have to take 3-4 to get to sleep due to hips hurting.  I take random drug test.  I read where somas have a benzo metabolite.  Will I show positive for benzos?  If I do dont forget I have scriptt but can they tell I have taken more than prescribed?

common side effects may include:
Agitation, depression, dizziness, drowsiness, facial flushing, fainting, headache, hiccups, inability to fall or stay asleep, irritability, light-headedness upon standing up, loss of coordination, nausea, rapid heart rate, stomach upset, tremors, vertigo, vomiting
I just googeled this I took this drug for 12 years it is easy to get use to it's effects so the temptation to up the dose is there but you really shouldn't. Some  Drs. will not prescribe this med anymore because of the detrimental effects on the brain Please go easy on them.. Lesa

Withdrawal symptoms, including abdominal cramps, chilliness, headache, insomnia, and nausea, have occurred in people who suddenly stop taking Soma.

Take Soma cautiously if you have any kidney or liver problems.

Yes soma is addicting the withdraw is mind confusion, muscle spasms all over the body throwing up and no sleep.. I would not increase the dose I know they can give you a buzz  although it dose help with pain it dose not help enough to up the amount you take..
It also affects the memory actually sometimes very badly. Please be careful!! Take care

i am not sure on the addictive factor for soma..you know they say it isn't but i don't think i believe that..valium is..but as a muscle relaxer valium is very helpful..I know they aren't as physically addicting as xanax..which i take..Hmmm good question..hopefully someone out there will know...I would say you just need to be careful with either..I had no idea that soma were related to valium until my dr told me last month...we will have to do some checking..

I did take valium but stopped 1 yr ago.  Just wanted to get off of them.  So do you think that would be better?  Do you think they are  less addicted?  Thanks for answering.

I doubt that they will calculate how much you took..but yes..it will show up as a benzo..my dr. gave me a choice of soma/valium..he said they were pretty much the same..Can you take something else maybe to sleep instead..I have bad hip pain too...ouch
