Thank you!! Everyone!! 21 Days!!

I just want to thank you all for helping me through this. It has been 21 days and I feel like a new person. I could not have done it without this site. I know my addiction wasn't as severe as some. I took up to 5-6 Norco/Vics a day for 4 years. My withdrawls were bad, but nowhere near what Ive read about on here. I feel very lucky I was able to recover the way I did. I know it's only 21 days and I do really have my whole life ahead of me, but I feel really good about it. I feel free from the anxiety of counting my pills everyday spending more money than I have just to stay ahead in the amount of pills I have just incase something happened with my hook up. Lying to my friends and family. Every minute thinking about when I get to take the next one. It's all over!  It was my life, it's all I thought about. More than my two children. I feel free and I thank you guys. Ive read so many posts on here of addictions of 20-30 pills a day. I could never imagine trying to over come that challenge. I give every addict on this site so much respect and props that you are even posting and making a step to recovery. I just want people to know that W/D's suck and it's minor to extreme for each person depending on their addiction, but if you can get yourself through it on this site, your loved ones or something stronger like rehab. You will get your LIFE BACK!  I wish I could save every single person on here and it breaks my heart to hear all of your stories. I will keep posting and reading. I might not be the biggest help, but if any one ever needs to vent, talk, ask anything. I  will help in any way I can. Thank you all!

I am at 25 hours now and need to get to 120. Once I am clean for that long I am checked into a facility for three months. I thought it was going to be impossible, but reading about someone being clean for 21 days sure helps me mentally. Wish I could get my legs to stop shaking. Good luck to all and myself

i m so happy for you.  it is great to live drug free.  i thought the wds would be worse than i went through.  they were not fun but not as bad as i imagined.  i think that s what scares a lot of people trying to get off these drugs.  if people can just get through those first 5 days it gets so much better, but sadly some can t so they step back.  this forum has been a blessing to me.  i never realized so many people were like myself.  i thought i was the only  person with this struggle.  stay strong and remember to stay here for a long time.  we all need to keep posting and helping.  God bless you...maria :)

Way to go!!!  Keep up the good work.  You never know when a craving will sneek up on you....just be on guard. So many of us have been there, only to think, well, NOW I can control this and only take them when the pain is really bad....NOT!  21 days is wonderful, and you sound great!

Goodmorning !  Congrats on the 21 days!  I think the withdrawals were bad but not where near what I had imagined in my mind. I wouldn't have considered doing it without rehab or lockup etc. But I was able to do it with Gods help and this forum. It sure is great to be free of the pill chasing !
God Bless  and keep up the good work.
