Bolpak:  Withdrawal, even suboxone or methadone withdrawal, does not last forever.  There is your happy ending!  Congrats on your first week.  You will be feeling MUCH better a week from now.  One of these days you are going to wake up feeling GREAT.. That day will be the best day of your life probably.  I promise you this will pass.  Just hang in there.  Each day you make it through brings you one day closer to that day when your physically well.

I have a happy ending. I endured a long horrible sub detox just like you.  I got better.  I felt the best Ive ever felt in my ENTIRE life once the physical / mental withdrawawl subsided.  Sobriety, clear and beautiful, is the best feeling you can blessed enough to feel.  There is your happy BEGINNING. Not happy ending. Happy beginning.

Stay strong my friend.  You are doing this.

Hey

I just went through the same situation....stopped 2 weeks ago and after about 8 days in I started feeling the w/ds....so I went and had rx refilled to try again , this time Im gonna have to go slower I suppose , maybe go evry other day , keep scaling it down towards the end , I just wanna be done!....the doc says he feels Im ready bein I tried to stop on my own but its doubtful they know what it feels like , so basically what were looking at is really planning it and sticking to that plan , its so tempting to take a dose when you start feeling crappy , but in the end itll be worth it...Im in the same boat with you so if you hear any good suggestion pass it on please and good luck to you!!

I would suggest that everyone go alot slower when coming off Sub. My Sub Dr. told me that I would have to go very very slow, and will feel somewhat uncomfortable while doing the tapering, but nothig like if I stopped oxy's cold turkey.  Talk to your Dr. about tapering slower.

Congrats on your progress!!!!

Sub wd's are not fun, actually they suck!  I am in day 11 jumping off at 3mgs.  Im just not a taper kinda guy.  :-)

My symptoms peaked at day 7 and 8, and by day 9 I was beginning to feel better.  I still have a few lingering wd's that like to sneak up on me from time to time, but I can totally handle that.

The relief when you get over that proverbial hump is amazing!

If you need some positive experiences to read to encourage you to keep on truckin, take a look at some of the posts I have made regarding my sub detox.  It wasnt comfortable, but I was able to get up out of bed every day, shower, work out, get out of the house and run errands, make dinner.... all the norm.  Just felt like hell while doing it!  By day 10 I was back to work, and working a flight to Europe.

When you turn that corner, I really cant wait for the great feeling you will get!  Good luck, and hang in there.... Its so worth it!

Henry
