Iam back to the forum, this time on day 2 of suboxone prescribed. for the first time in my 8year addiction 30 or so 10's daily, i went to a counsler sat down and admitted my problem.. HARDEST thing i ever did. she wanted me to in patient detox for 3 days and come back. i wish i was able to do that, i have many responsibities and this was not an option. sought out another md for the sub treatment and today is day2. i have detoxed many, many times at home (with no aftercare) and failed. iam praying this time i will do it. scared of that i have traded one addiction for the next but committed to going to mtgs, taking only what prescribed and following doctors orders to a tea. today, feeling shaky?? upset stomach will this go away? iam thankful for this forum , any adivse regarding sub treatment ?  can i tak l-tyro with sub? dr said ok to takeb-12, htp5 was not familar with l-tyroseine tho, dr also said that he thinks at least 1 yr on sub treatment before he would taper me off the subs? any thoughts? and do i count today as day 2 clean? thanks you again, and good luck, well wished to all

aftercare is counsleing, mtgs, some call it aftercare meaning after the detox to have something in place to work on the mental, good jpml and nodumb questions here ever.... we are all in this together

yes, sitting down and talking to a therapist and a md is giving me more incentive to do it this time. the fact that iam being accountable out loud to a profressional is making a difference, that and if i even thought of taking a tab i would get very severe w/ds is also helping not want the evil tab...did you feel shaky, im very liightheaded, shaky and nauses will this go away , thanks for responsing,  to see other accomplishments is helpful

Im not too familiar with the sub's but I wanted to say that the aftercare is what has been my saving grace as well,,i too went to see a therapist and was enrolled in aftercare/NA,,etc.. Im only day 10 c/t off a massive perk addiction,,but Ive quit sooo many times before but always left out that aftercare. Its different this time. Have you noticed that too?

I had a major addiction to percs and morphine, prescribed for back injury, and am now 2 & 1/2 months into sub treatment.  already tapered down to only 2 mgs a day.  i had the same fear about trading one addiction for another, but doing really well so far.
