Ask your doctor to help you get off of them. That shouldn't be a problem. I agree with whomever said above that clonidine can help with those mild sub withdrawals so you can complete the process.
chapin, how long were you on for? It doesn't sound like you were on it long enough. You should have been on it long enough for your brain to heal and then slowly taper off. You need to work with a dr on tapering, not do it yourself. You're causing yourself more pain and anxiety than necessary.
Yes it is addicting, but it's much easier to tapper off of because it's not a drug that gets you high, so you won't have that erge to take more.
You're taking 8mg's a day? What were you on b4?
GREAT!! I was just put on subuxone!!!! I was never told It was also addicting?!?! I have been taking it for 6 days. It worked grate for withdrawls from hydrocodone. Now I have to withdraw from it??? I take 1/2 tab every 6 -8 hours. Should I just go ahead and stop taking sub now? If you hear from anyone let me know too. 11/05/07
when you went to the doctor to get your suboxone for the first time did you talk to your doctor about how long you would be on suboxone and how you would taper off?
Or were your intentions just to use suboxone as a drug substitute?
You should really ask you're dr for clonidine, it works wonders for the hot flashes and it kept me from relapsing....It will also help you tapper off the sub..
