I'm not a doctor, so this is not medical advice OK? But I've "heard" (wink, wink) that Clonidine, Neurontin (or Lyrica) and Trazodone, along with Immodium and the Thomas Recipe, will alleviate many of the symptoms of withdrawal. Do yourself a favor, and meet with an addiction psychiatrist, and reach-out for help. Share your secret with your inner-circle, cut-off your supply, and develop a plan for protective aftercare. However, do not attempt any of the above until you've decided, without a shadow of a doubt, that you're done forever. Otherwise, you'll be destined for relapse.
60 days ago, I was taking 250 mg (25 pills) of Norco per day. I structured a 45-day taper. Once I got below 8 per day, it was difficult - not gonna lie. Then I met with an addiction psychiatrist who prescribed me some "comfort meds" and encouraged me to jump cold turkey. With the help of those comfort meds, and 9-days out of work, I am now 10-days clean, and I feel like a brand-new person. As Kyle often says, my worst day clean is 1,000 times better than my best day as a slave to the opiates. Make no mistake, this is not easy, and the battle continues because something in us has changed.
I tried to taper many, many times. I wasn't able to because I had no one to help, and as the dose got lower I gave in; ended up going cold turkey.
I'm not saying that you can't; I'm just suggesting that it's easier when you've got help. And a general comment...Because we can't give medical advise on this site, you'll probably get general suggestions from others who've tapered. You really should get your doc involved.

No i am doing it , did you taper off if so how long did it take and how much did you taper down before you jumped thanks
Do you have someone helping you? Most addicts have a very hard time tapering alone; when you get to the point when the dose is low, your head starts talking to you and it is difficult to keep to your schedule when pills are easily available.
Having someone you can trust control your meds - give them to you per the taper plan - will allow you to stay on the plan and have a successful taper.

I am not sure what you mean to stabilize do yo think i am going to fast thanks for your reply
Not tapering right now but been there twice. Don't go too fast. Try to stabilize each amount before making the next cut. Keep on keeping on!
