tapering off roxycodone
Take7to 8 roxycodone per day 30mg.need a taper plan
It is now Feb. 29 and I am down to >10mg. percoset per day and no real problems except for insomnia. I think I will be totally off the pills in a week. Problem is: Pain; pain in my hip that was broken and is pinned. Tough!! I can deal w/ it. It's been a lonnnng taper and I'm not going back now. Ibuprofen!

As you know it is against MH rules to give out a taper plan, as we are Not Drs or know your Health history.
Have you talked with the Dr about a Taper?? That would be the best plan as they can give you some comfort meds along the way.
I do know that, as you taper down you should give your Brain & Body time to adjust to each drop. Get your immune system in high gear so it can be healthy enough to rid the toxins.
You know how we push the vit/min, water, bath, sun, exercise and so fourth. Are YOU on 8 pills a day and at 30mg? Or just up to 30mg in a day?? That right there would make a big difference. If you do a taper, make sure you give them to someone you trust to hand them out to you, on a schedule plan. Nice and Slow if you are on a very high dose. Other then that you can get down a bit more from 30mg a day and jump. I jumped off my 3 meds and the Methadone got down between 30mg-60mg. It was very uncomfortable, because it was 3 different types of meds that hit the Brain a bit different and that Nervous system was so whacked out too. YOU can do it!! Just stick with us and we will guide you all the way. Are you getting any outside Support?? That is one of the keys to success. We need others to lean on, as we can not go it alone! Addiction is a Disease, and as other diseases, we need to talk to others and listen to others who have walked in our shoes. I DO wish you the BEST!!
