HI I agree with Vicki you need to drop benzos slowly my doctor nocked off .25 a month and some months let it slide into the next month depending on how I felt this is different for everybody and you have heart troubles I wouldent think they would want to rush it ask if you can slow it down a bit getting off benzos is a ruff deal I did it......Gnarly

I think the amount is too much to drop. Just me...but 33% would be tough to drop. You need to call him and talk about how you feel. Sometimes, the doctors offer suggestions to help you but also rely on you the patient to inform them if something isn't working. If you don't tell him,he can't make an adjustment.

Good luck!

Hi Rudy,

We are not allowed to discuss tapering stuff here however it would seem if you are feeling totally terrible he/she might be making you come on this stuff too fast.  This is nothing to mess with since a benzo.....I know they have to be very controlled and slow tapers...Can you get a second opinion then you do not have to question the doctor so to speak?  Meaning second opinion from another doctor......As well with your current doctor have you told them how bad you are feeling....Hopefully they are monitoring your vitals....
BP and such......I do not think you can be too careful coming off benzo's....Can you get with a physichaitrist that will really know the profound effects of benzo's and withdrawal?  Not saying your doctor does not know this however the pysch doctors deal with these types of meds and getting off more....

I think you gotta get a second opinion if you can...

God Bless

Sam
