You're right weaver I always used to think when someone said spiked they meant put something in a drink but then I started "spiking" myself and now whenever I hear the word I automatically think needle ;))

Good point jinx  !

Well hell if u think someone's spiked u maybe do a drug test? How's ur blood pressure? I used to have major panic attacks and the pins and needles were a main symptom but don't mess around with it. Keep an eye on ur blood pressure.

Thanks ric, I guess I spent too much time in the street. HA! If you think you were "spiked" orally, you would taste methadone. Try to drop this as the cause and look for the real issue. Jinx has a good point, what else has changed that may be causing this?

i think you are reading too many posts about peoples withdrawals.  you would have felt it.  you can always ease your mind by going to a doctor and testing your blood.  it DOES sound like an allergic reaction.  have you tried any new laundry soap, body soap, shampoo, food, lotion ANYTHING new??

Hey buddy I think She was just using iv as a shorthand for "I have"  or I've.
I think She was using the term "spiked" as in added to her drink.   Not 100% sure on that but I think that is what she meant

The pain you describe has nothing to do with methadone or any other drug I can think of and I have used them all. I am now clean for two years so rest assured that I am of sound mind and my observations are accurate.

How long has this guy been out of your life?   He sounds like He was pretty messed up and when we are using we say and do things that do not make much sense so trying to figure out why He was saying those things is kind of futile. I do know that it takes more than someone giving you a random dose of drugs to get you addicted. You may want to go to the er and see if they can figure out why you are having the pains.

Honestly, your symptoms sound more like an alergic reaction, or as mentioned above, anxiety based. How long were you on iv? What was the iv supposed to have in it?

Ricart 70 thankyou for your response I'm not so sure the symptoms started two months back and I realise the human body has symptoms that can be simular only have so many functions but this person started accusing me of takeing his methodone so I quickly ended the friendship i wnted to help this man an should never have trusted him he kept saying stuff like u may as well do drugs such and such I feel he was trying to change me he could have spiked me with anything its all poison at end of day i should not be feeling this way I do not judge ppl who have these problems and have a heart to anyone suffering I'm confused I am a vulnerable woman in society it scares me what could have happned

I agree with ricart, as a methadone addict, I can say, if you became dependent on it, you would have no question about this. Methadone detox is one of the worst events in my life and I've been around the block. I don't know if your therapist uses CBT, but I always suggest trying it. For a feeling to take place, a thought has to happen to stimulate chemical reaction in the brain to stimulate a feeling response. Thought is more powerful than environment. For example, I have met happy, healthy people who lived in the streets of Calcutta. People who were orphaned and know no life but the life of the poorest of the poor on earth can be happy and satisfied. On the other hand, I have met suicidal rich people who have everything going for them. If we view poverty in a positive way, we feel positive, if we view wealth in a negative way, we feel negative. Keep searching for answers, leave no stone unturned, you will get to the bottom of this if you do. Never give up, never.

Hi Raquel      I'm sorry to see that you are having these symptoms and pains.
You say You have not been around this person for 2 months right?   I would have to definitely say this pain and your symptoms have nothing whatsoever to do with possibly ingesting methadone two months ago. If that would have happened you would have been most likely hit immediately with nausea, itching, hot feeling, lethargy and possibly vomiting. There is no way this would be affecting you so much later. Please do not worry about the methadone spike if it even happened. I hope your doc can find what is really the matter with you. Best wishes.

It sounds like your symptoms could more be related to panic attack or anxiety disorder btw
