comfort meds are pills given to you ,,, hopefully by a doctos, to help you out during detox
common comfort meds for opiate detox
trazadone
lomotil
darvon
vistoril
clonidine
nuerontin
you should not use lomotil during a home detox
and the unsupervised use of clonidine should be avoided
definantly talk to a real doctor before you take anything like this
there are other comfort meds too, i am at a loss, right now

I have taken it for years for migraine headaches. It will CAUSE withdrawal if you suddenly stopped taking it.
mtgoat911- please elaborate on "comfort med "
topamax is used for wd, it is an anti-siezure med that is given to tons of patients exspecially those going through benzo and alcohol wd
i have only had one doctor put me on it for opiate wd, i did not have seizures but it ***** as a comfort med
how many percs do you take a day?
xo
never heard of Topomax for WD
clonidine (it's actually a blood pressure medication) is typically used a lot for opiate wd's....it works because during wd's, your blood pressure tends to rise and you get uncomfortable symptoms, and the clonidine helps your blood pressure return to normal....only thing to watch out for is if your blood pressure is NOT that high, because then the clonidine can make you very dizzy, lightheaded and woozy....for some, it makes them very tired, which can be a good thing for sleep, if you're also having difficulties with that....otherwise, i'd stay away from topomax or ultram....hope that helps a bit....good luck!!
blessings,
kim
I have not heard of topamax for wd .ULTRAM is NOT a good option for wd it takes ya from the frying pan into the fire (for most ).coladine seems to be the best choice if you want something to help with wd
