hello all

I know I probably wont sleep right for a while, but can someone let me know when I might start to have energy in the mornings?  I can deal with little sleep, but sapped energy stinks.  Im 13 hours and 20 minutes into day 11 so i know im getting there, but any advice would be great!!!

Thank you,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Being tired and sapped of energy is unfortunately part of the sub withdrawal.  I took a multivitamin, some B12 and B6 and that did help some.  After the intial withdrawal, there was a period of about 5 days for me that I just had no energy - could not walk across the house without being tired.  You will also experience several weeks of being cold, even in a hot room.  This is normal too - use blankets and even a space heater if you need it.  It was the middle of summer and I had a heater running in my office, it was pretty funny.  Just know that these things will pass and you will start to feel better each day.  Hang in there.

Hey, and way to go on day 11! I would suggest Whey Protein~ can you get to a smoothie king? It helped me with energy BIG time. Also, exercise will help immensely.

You are doing great and are certainly a positive inspiration to MANY on here. Keep asking questions, keep sharing your recovery with us.

Day 11 was my worst day, if I remember correctly. Sleep deprivation was kicking my arse, and I literally had to MAKE myself get up and move about.

You are doing great!
