There is nothing like a good vacation. Good for you! Namaste!
I'm so happy I read this, so uplifting for everyone to read so it is. If you think at how much pressure we addicts have put on ourselves with all the lying, hiding, sneaking, the need to be close too and the need to re-supply, its massive pressure, I think we all deserve a vacation after that. I'm only a couple of days ahead of you in recovery so I know how you feel, it feels good not having all them extra burdens on you. Congrats on your 41 days clean and free. I'm so happy you had a great vacation, and a clean one at that. May you have many more.
Wishing you all the happiness in the world, ;)
Congrats on your 1st vacation free of pills!! It is a great feeling!! You sound really refreshed and positive!!
So happy you had a pill-FREE vacation....and you had fun...and energy....and you are 41 days clean now! You go glamisgirl....lol....!!!!
I haven't been on a vacation yet since getting clean....but am at least "dreamin" about that day. haha!
You and Kyle both made me think back to the last time I packed a suitcase....how I always hand carried my pills on a plane....or if just driving....I took a small cosmetic suitcase that locks.....I always kept the dang thing locked so NO ONE could get or see my pills. Crazy days....so glad they are gone....and thanks for sharing the joy of your vacation with us.
Next stop.....60 days, dear one~
Congrats on 41, and man oh man do I understand. One trip I was mid-air and panicked because I suddenly realized that the airlines could lose my luggage and I'd be without my meds. From that point on I kept my pills with me, hidden from my family. I even worried about hotel housekeepers taking my pills so I hid them in the room. A lot of time and effort wasted. I can relate.
