It will get better for you very soon. I understand completely how you feel. I've been there too. What hope said about how it will take some time before we recover from the physical part of recovery bc of the time we spent on the drug is true. When you think of it, physical recovery takes just a small fraction of the time that we spent on the drug. But you want the pain to go away and I don't blame you!  I discovered that the pain is intense when the opiates are leaving our systems. But after, the intensity rapidly dies down. So you are well on your way to physical recovery.

My best thinking during WD told me that its not going to be like this forever. I took it one minute, hour and day at a time. You have some good info on what to do for the pain in the post above. I highly suggest the hot Epsome bath is your ultimate weapon for that bone pain. Epsome Salts has the magnesium in it that can help. Mag tabs in the morning w/breakfast also help. I went thru WD 7 months ago and I'm still taking them bc my back condition is still there. Magnesium also relaxes you. Relaxation is also a key to easing pain, and thats also what the bath does. Live in that tub my friend. Know that it will get better soon. Congratulations on your progress!!

I'm at 2 weeks2 days and still having ankle pain. I also am having the same issue with relaxing. Hot baths help my ankles. I also started using icy hot. You can try some ibuprofen or Tylenol. It helps me to remember that I did this damage to myself for years so I can't expect it to go away over night. Hang in there things will get better. I started feeling better at the end of week one. I'm still having some issues but expect they will improve around the 1 month mark. Hang in there!! Good luck!!
