Sounds like it. Did you speak with the office manager?
What type of doctor?? And yes this sounds very unethical....
yeah that is weird, i would check with your insurance company too. Even if it is someone out of network, i have never heard of a copay that high.
Check with your insurance company, it could be that your plan has a high deductible before they start paying a percentage of the office visits. He may be sending the info to your insurance so that your deductible is met. All plans are different. Good luck.
That depends on what ur deductible is & type of insurance. Say u have a insurance that has a $2500 deductible but it's required ( this is the new thing, my company offered this, this year) before any benefits kick in. The deductible needs to be paid up front, with office visit's, prescriptions & such before any of the insurance actually kicks in. I'd call ur insurance company tomorrow for sure!
what type of doctor is it? my husbands doctor just recently became a pain management and also started to prescribe suboxone. he has been my husbands doctor for years and always took a check and credit card. the last time my husband went there, it was only cash. when they start these kind of policys they start to get shady. my husband & i are considering reporting him, it is unethical . they are hiding the money and also dont want a record of who they are seeing.
definitely check with your insurance company.
I would be checking into this one.
