withdrawal and depression

Just wondering if depression is a symptom of withdrawal from oxys.  My son is on the tail end of weaning off of oxys.  We started the wean process at 100 mils daily and he is down to 15 mls.  He is going through a very depressive state.  Is this normal?  Also, he still maintains it is difficult for him.  It is hard for me to think that 15 mls in the body is still causing him problems, it seems like so little.  Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

GOD YES. It is a symptom for many. W/d/detoxing is different for everyone. Some will experience sever depression and some won't have any. If he is weaning, and it is working then good for him. Luck to you both...

for me it wasnt so much depression as it was anxiety but anti depressants have helped with that too. My first time outta detox i WAS depressed and was on zoloft. It worked wonders. I was living in a shelter (step daddy wouldnt lemme come home) and in 2 months I managed to find a job, get a car, and get an apt and move outta that shelter.
And depending on how fast you guys tapered off the oxys could be the reason 15 mgs is taking its toll on him. Its definitely hard on the body and more so on the mind.
